  During my master diploma project I worked with handicrafting. While researching I soon found that most people are handicrafting at their kitchen or sofa table, there was a lack of a proper workspace which provides functionality and allows crafting activities. The aim with my master project was to promote handicraft as a recreational activity. I wanted to simplify and make the exercise of handicraft in your home easier. COMPOT

A project about tidying in the garden. My ideation phase led me into 2 projects; 1 main project, The Compot and one that I did like a side project, The Apple sock. Composting is a very environmental friendly way to tidy in your garden. 30% of the garbage you throw away every day can be composted so composting is an easy way to reduce your waste. My goal with this project was to encourage and make it easier for people to use a compost. The Compot consists of two bigger pieces, the outer shape and the inner divider. The divider have air holes and with a small hatch at the bottom you can regulate how much air to let in. The divider makes it possible to have 2 composts working at the same time, sharing the heat. The leaning inside bottom and the angle of the Compot makes it easier to empty. The material is a mixture between terra-cotta and plastic. It has the appearance of terra-cotta but is a much lighter and sustainable material.

SENSEVIBE

A mission to Mars provides that the crew is disciplined, independent and takes a big responsibility for their own situation up in space. The astronauts are put in situations where there are a lot of stressors that are affecting them which in the end affects their performance. Mood changes, boredom and monotony, stress, restricted social contact are all things that can lead to bad conditions such as increased fatigue. We saw a need of a system that could help the astronauts to be aware of their mental status and to keep a high level of health. This would keep a steady performance and safety. Sensvibe consists of a personal device and a system. The device contains sensors that measures the physiological stress factors. This data is collected in the system and displays an overview of the astronauts health status to help them prevent fatigue and understand when to take action. SMOOTHIE RUSH

Smoothie rush is the result of an packaging project for Tetra Pak (2005). The task was to make a logo and package for a new product using tetra top bottles. Inspired by my mother’s way of mixing fruits together it became a smoothie. It’s a healthy vitamine boost that should appeal to kids, parents and active people. The logo is inspired by the swirl that becomes when pouring liquid into an glass. The package is made of 2 plastic stripes that are self-locking when you carry it.
